Launched in 2022, HeyBatter, a unique fantasy sports app featuring an exciting in-game player marketplace, is the flagship platform of Activation Lab.

Activation Lab was founded to capitalize on the unexplored opportunities in the existing fantasy sports and gaming landscape. The mobile app development company focuses on bringing to life unique, peer to peer dynamic fantasy sports experiences.

History

The original game was played in person between friends with cash being exchanged. Expanding the game to mobile applications allows a whole new generation of players to become completely engrossed in the buy/sell marketplace dynamic of HeyBatter, from anywhere in the country.

Batter Exchange & Skill Based Gaming

The most exciting dynamic of the game is the “in game marketplace” element which allows for the buying and selling of players before or during an at bat. This is the skill element of the game that allows for the more informed and better skilled at risk-based arbitrage, to attain an advantage over their competitors. The game is not chance based; Players who are savvy can better their opponents through the market exchange for batters during the game.

What are potential payouts?

When creating a game, you can toggle 'Potential Payouts'. When this toggle is on, your game room will display the maximum amount you can earn from a batter. This can help new players make good buy/sell decisions.

How is Hey Batter! played?

HeyBatter! is meant to be played while watching a live baseball game. Players in a game are each assigned a batter one at a time, in sequence. When your batter does well (rbi, single, double, etc), the other players in the room pay you. When your batter does poorly (pop out, ground out, etc)you pay the other players in the room. You can offer to sell (if you own the batter) or buy (if you don't own the batter) the batter based on your knowledge of how well that typical batter performs. You can even raise the stakes for a batter by 2X, doubling all winnings and losses. That's how you play Hey Batter!

Is there a penalty for leaving a game early?

Yes, a penally of 10% of the game buy in is assessed for leaving a game before your innings are complete.

How does Hey Batter earn money?

When you win money, HeyBatter! receives 10% of your winnings. So if you win a total of $10 from a game, Hey Batter takes $1 in commission. If you lose money from a game, there is no commission..
